Exploring Government Model College Borkhola
Government Model Colleges are basically for the areas where the quality of education isn't ideal, especially where the access to higher education is below the national average. In such places, the Government of Assam with special funding from Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) establishes Model Colleges. And one such college was established at Borkhola Constituency of Cachar. It is located at Dholchera Village under Jarailtola GP of Borkhola. This one is named Government Model College, Borkhola and it was inaugurated by India’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi himself. When one visits the premise of this college they can feel the soothing enviornment. Situated at a Hill top it is surrounded with greenery. Right beside the college there is a old and closed NETRIP .
