For over two decades, Mausam Dutta has been at the helm of Chandranathpur M.E. School, a modest institution near the Chandranathpur Railway Station that has grown into a beacon of hope and excellence under his leadership. Government Model Colleges are basically for the areas where the quality of education isn't ideal, especially where the access to higher education is below the national average. In such places, the Government of Assam with special funding from Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) establishes Model Colleges. And one such college was established at Borkhola Constituency of Cachar. It is located at Dholchera Village under Jarailtola GP of Borkhola. This one is named Government Model College, Borkhola and it was inaugurated by India’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi himself.
