Chess is a world famous game of sheer intelligence that is played by the most brilliant minds of our planet. It is no news to anyone that the game of Chess originated from our nation, India itself. However, the game of chess is not that popular among the students of Barak Valley; this changes now. Assam University recently issued a notification, informing that the university, for the first time in history, has constituted a Chess Club. The Assam University Chess Club is the first such club in the history of this university. This development has the potential to increase the interest of more people of this university and the valley in the magnificent game of chess. What keeps us on the right track of morality? What motivates us to do the right thing? Well, we all have different answers to this. Not long ago my brother sent me a link which led me to find out the incredible story of sportsmanship and morality. In January 2013 during Burlada Cross Country Race in Spain Abel Mutai a Kenyan Athlete was leading the race and he would clearly win as well. He was only a few meters away from the finish line when he got confused with the signage and thought he already crossed the finish line so he stopped running. Ivan Fernandez was right behind him and he noticed Abel Mutai stopping, he realised what might have happened.  At this point of time one might think that the smartest thing to do here would be to get past Abel Mutai and win the Gold for themselves.
